Our Story
Our two Directors have each been working in cancer care for over 25 years.
As long-standing residents of Geelong, we recognised there is an unmet need for a dedicated skin cancer service in the region. What makes our clinic unique, is that we are focusing on early detection of skin cancers through offering mole mapping supported by Artificial Intelligence software, GP led skin checks and minor treatments as well as superficial x-ray therapy onsite.
Why – skin cancer incidence is the highest in the world
Cancer Council Australia describes Australia as “the skin cancer capital of the world” with skin cancer accounting for 80% of all new cancer diagnoses per annum. (reference)
We believe that we have a role to play by offering the community a patient-centred clinic focussed solely on skin cancer with comprehensive services including education, detection and treatment.
We took our time to find the right place to open our Geelong Clinic, knowing the challenges of parking and navigating big hospitals. Our clinic at the top end of High Street, Belmont has free parking and great access to public transport with a bus stop right out front.
This is just one example of our attention to detail when it comes to serving our patients.
